The minimum volume to sign up is 8 bags (10 million seed bag) of Hyvido seed of any variety. 

No, there is no charge or fee to sign up for Agriclime. The only entry criteria is to have purchased at least 8 bags of any Hybrid Barley Hyvido varieties. 

The payout is calculated as a percentage of your seed purchase price using the Syngenta recommended retail price of £600 per bag (with a single dressing). If your payout criteria have been triggered (i.e., excess calculated rainfall was triggered) you will receive a % of your seed value (on a linear scale) up to 30% maximum payout. Once the calculated rainfall exit point is reached, the maximum payout of 30% of Agriclime committed spend is achieved and any higher calculated rainfalls will not result in a higher cash back payment.

No, it is a linear sliding scale from the rainfall trigger point up to the rainfall exit point where the maximum of 30% payout will be received. That means you could receive anything up to 30% depending on the amount of calculated rainfall.

No, you can purchase your seed from your usual supplier – we have no influence or input on this, all you need to provide is proof of purchase if a payout is triggered.

This offer is not connected to yield. The offer is related to excess rainfall during your chosen weather window. 

You will receive a cash back payout if the excess calculated rainfall is triggered during the weather window that you choose. This will happen regardless of whether you have planted your seed. To be eligible for a payout we need proof of purchase for seed bought in the calendar year, not proof of drilling.

Only if you are eligible for a payout will we ask you for proof of your seed purchase. We will ask you for a copy of your seed purchase invoice.  

Agriclime payout IS NOT conditional on whether you drill the seed in the selected window or even drill at all. The payout is only based on the calculated rain fall during your chosen Agriclime weather window.  

The percentage payout will be calculated using the Syngenta recommended retail price for Hyvido Seed at £600 per bag, and not on the actual invoice price paid by you.

Syngenta is using an independent weather data provider called Meteo Blue AG, which is one of the leading weather providers in the world. Meteo Blue offers several different datasets, Syngenta UK has decided to use the dataset called ERA5T which is gridded to 0.25-degree spatial resolution for the AgriClime offer. The daily calculated rainfall measurements to be taken as the sum of the selected weather window, is based on this agreed dataset. https://content.meteoblue.com/en/about-us

It is highly likely that you will experience mismatched levels of rainfall to the Agriclime calculated rainfall (sometimes higher and sometimes lower). The Agriclime data is modelled weather data averaged over a gridded 0.25-degree spatial resolution. We cannot accommodate any other weather data, only the Meteo Blue weather data is used for the Agriclime offer.

No, it is not possible to increase the chances of a better payout as all trigger points in the weather windows and locations are calculated using mathematical statistics based on the last 20 years weather data. The probability of a payout will remain the same, regardless of the weather window or location chosen. Dividing your purchase amount between different farm blocks and selecting different weather windows can increase the likelihood of a payout but it's important to note that each block may have its own specific conditions for triggering a payout, which means that one block might qualify for the maximum cash back while another block might not trigger any payout or receive a lower cashback amount.

Yes – you can sign up multiple farms, and each farm can have a different weather window. You will only receive a payout if the excess rainfall trigger point is met for the weather block and chosen weather widow. 

Yes, we are happy you to include other farms, for example, in a contract agreement or a farm group, however, there can only be one main contact applicant as this is where any cash payout will be paid to. We are not responsible for subdividing payouts or having to access proof of purchase from multiple individuals.

No, if all the fields on your farm are in the same weather block you can just record the total hybrid barley hectarage as the weather block data and cash back calculation will be the same for every field within the same block.

You can choose which weather block to put your purchases in. If the farm straddles two weather blocks you can create two farm blocks one in each weather block and allocate their HyBa seed purchased between the two if you wish.

If the excess rainfall is triggered in the chosen weather block for the Hyvido Agriclime offer, you will be paid in cash into your bank account. We will ask you for bank details if you are eligible for a payout.

• Agriclime is a RISK SHARING offer to help you offset the risk of adverse weather conditions during the growing season through a possible cashback depending on calculated rainfall levels hit a trigger level in the chosen weather window.
• Agriclime is not INSURANCE, as financial products are legislated and require certification to sell financial products. There is no link to crop damage or loss. Agriclime is only based on excess calculated rainfall during your chosen weather window.

No. You can only use the proof of invoice payment for one offer application. The proof of invoice payment must be in the same calendar year as the offer dates.  

We aim to provide the payout 30 days after you have provided your bank details and proof of purchase to us. 

​​​​​​​We need to have one contact for Agriclime – you will need to distribute any payment to other landowners or farms. Alternatively, the individual farms could each sign up if they have purchased the minimum quantity of product.

The invoice price you pay for Syngenta Hyvido hybrid barley is not relevant to Syngenta for the purpose of this Agriclime offer.  The Agriclime pay-out is based on the Syngenta recommended retail price of £600 per 10m seed bag and is independent to the actual price you purchase your Syngenta Hyvido hybrid barley for.
